Yeah, I had to dig up all sorts of paperwork—old 1099s, pension letters, even a Social Security award letter from years ago. It’s wild how much they want, but honestly, I get it to a point. Lenders are just covering their bases since so many seniors have income from multiple sources now. Still, it feels like overkill sometimes. I remember thinking, “If I have to send one more bank statement, I’m gonna lose it.” But once you’re through the process, it’s worth it for the peace of mind.
