So, I recently helped my mom set up a reverse mortgage, seemed straightforward enough at first. But now we're seeing these random fees popping up that weren't exactly clear upfront...kinda frustrating. Has anyone else run into something similar?

Yeah, reverse mortgages can be sneaky like that... Did they hit you with servicing fees or was it more like appraisal and closing costs? Sometimes lenders bury those details in the fine print - been there myself, unfortunately.
