Interesting idea—though I wonder how fair it'd really be. Last summer, my neighbor's sprinkler malfunctioned and flooded part of my yard overnight. He felt terrible and even offered to help fix the damage. Would that count as a deduction or penalty? Seems tricky to quantify neighborly goodwill into percentages, but it's definitely intriguing to think about how community interactions could influence our taxes...
