Just got my property tax bill and now I'm daydreaming about a magical app that calculates taxes based on how nice you are to your neighbors.

Like, mow their lawn once, boom, 10% off. Bake cookies for the block party? Another 5%. Um, accidentally let your dog bark all night...oops, that's an extra 3%. Wondering how this would play out in your neighborhoods...

Interesting ideaβ€”though I wonder how fair it'd really be. Last summer, my neighbor's sprinkler malfunctioned and flooded part of my yard overnight. He felt terrible and even offered to help fix the damage. Would that count as a deduction or penalty? Seems tricky to quantify neighborly goodwill into percentages, but it's definitely intriguing to think about how community interactions could influence our taxes...
