Faxing—yeah, I’ve actually dusted off the old machine a couple times. It’s wild how some companies will suddenly jump when they get a fax, like it’s some kind of legal threat or something. Maybe it just lands right in front of someone’s face instead of buried in an inbox. Either way, I’ve had it work faster than email or even phone calls.

A few things I’ve learned:
- Certified mail gets attention, but faxing can be even quicker if you need a paper trail fast.
- Always print the confirmation page from the fax machine. That little slip has saved me more than once when someone claimed they never got my docs.
- Keeping folders is a pain, but it’s worth it. I once had a servicer “lose” a payment record, but since I had every email and screenshot, it got sorted out pretty quick.

One thing I’ll say—sometimes all these hoops feel ridiculous, but it’s way easier to be over-prepared than scrambling later.

Faxing still gets results, weird as it is. Had a lender ignore my emails for a week—sent the same docs by fax and got a call back within hours. I’m with you on the confirmation page; that slip is gold when someone tries to play dumb. Still feels like we’re stuck in the ‘90s sometimes, but whatever works, right?

It’s wild how faxing still gets things moving when email just... doesn’t. I’ve run into the same wall with my servicer—emails vanish into the void, but a faxed doc with that confirmation slip? Suddenly they’re calling me back. Here’s what’s worked for me when I feel like I’m getting ghosted:

1. Gather every doc you need and double-check for signatures or missing info. Saves a ton of back-and-forth.
2. Email first, just to have a digital trail. Attach everything and keep it polite but clear.
3. If no response in 48 hours, print those docs and fax them over. Keep that confirmation slip—seriously, it’s your best friend if they claim they never got it.
4. If you still don’t hear back, call and reference the fax confirmation number. It’s hard for them to argue with that.

I do wish we could leave faxing behind, but until lenders catch up, I guess we’re stuck playing by their rules. Anyone else feel like they’re running a mini office out of their kitchen these days?

I get the appeal of faxing for that confirmation slip, but honestly, I’m always nervous about sending sensitive info through a machine I barely trust. I’ve had faxes go missing too, which is just as frustrating. Lately, I’ve started using certified mail for anything really important—costs a bit more, but at least there’s a paper trail and signature required. Feels a little old-school, but it’s saved me from a few headaches.

Totally get where you’re coming from—faxing always feels like sending something into the void and just hoping it lands where it should. I’ve had docs disappear too, which is wild considering how “official” faxing is supposed to be.

- Certified mail is solid, but man, the cost adds up if you’re sending a lot.
- I’ve started scanning and emailing docs, then following up with a call to confirm they got it. Not perfect, but at least there’s a digital trail.
- One thing that bugs me: sometimes they claim they never got the email, even with a read receipt. Makes me wonder if anything is truly reliable...

Anyone else ever try overnight delivery services? Pricey, but at least you get tracking and a signature. Just wish these companies would get with the times and have a secure portal for uploads.
