Honestly, I get what you mean, but I kinda see why they flag the small stuff sometimes. It’s like, the big transactions are expected—they know where that money’s coming from. But a random $25 here or there? Maybe they’re just trying to cover all their bases, even if it feels a bit much. Still, three days for a concert ticket text? That’s wild.

- Totally get your frustration. Mortgage paperwork is a beast.
- The nitpicking over tiny transactions feels over the top, but lenders are paranoid about “unusual activity.”
- Had to explain a $12 Venmo for pizza once—felt ridiculous, but it’s just their process.
- Hang in there. Once you’re through, you’ll barely remember the hassle... just the keys in your hand.
- It’s annoying, but you’re not alone. Everyone gets stuck in this paperwork maze at some point.

Honestly, the paperwork is wild. I started keeping a spreadsheet just to track which document I’d sent and what they might ask about next. It helped me stay ahead of their questions, especially with random transfers between my accounts. Has anyone tried prepping docs before applying, or do you just gather as you go?

I tried to get all my stuff together before applying, but honestly, I still ended up scrambling for random statements and paystubs they wanted last minute. The spreadsheet idea sounds smart, but I just used a folder on my desktop and hoped for the best. Did you find they kept asking for the same docs more than once? That drove me nuts... like, how many times do they need my bank statement?

Yeah, it’s wild how often they want the same docs. I swear, I sent my bank statements three different times. At one point I started labeling files “AGAIN” just to keep track. My advice—keep every version, even if you think it’s outdated. They’ll probably ask for it again anyway. The folder system works, but I’d also save everything as PDFs so you’re not hunting for weird file formats at midnight. Mortgage people must think we have a personal assistant or something...
