It’s wild how often the burden falls back on us to prove we did everything right.

That’s the part that gets me every time. I’ve had to resend the same pay stubs twice because “the file was corrupted.” Ever wonder if they’re just testing our patience? Or is it just disorganization? Either way, you’re not alone—hang in there.

I’ve run into this too, and honestly, it’s hard not to wonder if some lenders just lose track of things behind the scenes. Last year, I had to provide the same contractor invoices three times—each time, a different “issue.” It’s frustrating, but I guess with how busy things get, mistakes happen. Still, you’d think by now there’d be a smoother system.

Honestly, I see this all the time. Lenders get swamped and paperwork just... disappears into the void. It’s wild how often clients have to resend docs. I always tell folks to keep digital copies handy, just in case. Not ideal, but it saves headaches.

Honestly, that’s been my experience too. The first time I refinanced, I thought I was losing my mind—kept getting emails from the lender asking for the same pay stubs and bank statements I’d already sent. After the third round, I just started keeping a folder on my desktop with everything they could possibly ask for. It’s not glamorous, but it does save a ton of time.

It’s kind of ridiculous how often docs get “lost” in the shuffle. You’d think with all the tech these days, it wouldn’t be such a hassle, but here we are. My advice: keep everything scanned and ready to go, and don’t assume they have what you sent last week. Saves you from scrambling when things get down to the wire. Not perfect, but it’s better than digging through piles of paper every time they “misplace” something.

Yeah, I’ve run into the same thing—feels like you’re sending your life story over and over. I get that they need to be thorough, but sometimes it’s like their left hand doesn’t know what the right is doing. I’ve started naming my files super clearly, hoping it helps, but honestly, half the time I think they just want to see if you’ll crack under pressure.
