Had a similar experience when I bought my first home last year:

- Submitted all my docs online, thought I was good to go.
- Got flagged because my signature on the mortgage docs didn't match exactly with the one on my driver's license. (Like, whose signature stays exactly the same over years anyway?)
- Had to drive to the bank branch and sign everything again in person. Took forever.
- The rep told me it's pretty common because the AI checks are hyper-sensitive to minor differences.

I get the need for security, but it seems like these automated systems sometimes cause more hassle than they're worth. Makes me wonder how many legit transactions get delayed or even declined because of overly cautious AI.

Do you guys think banks will ever ease up on these automated checks, or is this just the new normal we're stuck with?
