My bank thinks I'm a spy or something

Yeah, that's exactly why biometrics make me a bit uneasy too. Had a client once whose fingerprint login glitched out—bank flagged him as suspicious activity and froze his accounts temporarily. Poor guy joked he felt like Jason Bourne trying to prove his identity...not fun. Password managers might seem old-school, but they're reliable and at least you can reset them if things go sideways. Better cautious than locked out of your own money, right?

Haha, relatable! Had a similar issue myself—tried using fingerprint login for convenience, and suddenly the bank decided I was some undercover operative. 🙄 Got locked out of my own account right when I needed to transfer funds for refinancing paperwork. Felt like I was starring in a low-budget spy thriller, minus the cool gadgets and car chases.

Honestly, biometrics seem sleek and futuristic, but the moment they glitch, you're stuck. At least with passwords, you can reset or scribble them down somewhere safe (or, let's be honest, somewhere you'll inevitably forget). Guess I'll stick to being old-school for now—less James Bond, more "forgot my password" emails.

Yeah, biometrics can be tricky... had my face ID fail once because of bad lighting, and suddenly I'm answering security questions from 10 years ago. Wonder if banks will ever find a balance between convenience and security?

Had something similar happen to me recently—fingerprint scanner decided my thumb wasn't mine after a day of yard work. Ended up digging through ancient emails to remember my first pet's name... Banks definitely have a tough job balancing security and convenience, but you'd think they'd have figured out better backup methods by now. Hang in there, you're not alone in the spy club.

Couldn't agree more. Recently had to reset my online banking after updating my phone—ended up answering security questions from 10 years ago. Surely there's room for more intuitive verification methods these days...
