Yeah, I totally get where you’re coming from. When I was going through the process, my lender asked about a $25 Venmo from my sister for movie tickets. Felt a bit much, but I guess they’re just super cautious these days. It’s annoying, but I kept telling myself it’s just part of the hoops to jump through. Hang in there—it’s frustrating, but you’re not alone.

That’s wild, but honestly, I had something similar happen. They flagged a $40 transfer from my mom and wanted a letter explaining it—like, really? I get that they have to check for weird stuff, but sometimes it feels like overkill. Still, once you’re through it, you kinda forget all the little annoyances. Just gotta keep your docs organized and try not to stress too much over the nitpicky stuff.

- Lenders really do dig into every little thing now.
- Had to explain a $30 PayPal from my cousin for pizza night—felt like overkill, but I guess they’re just covering their bases.
- My tip: keep a running list of any random transfers or deposits, just in case.
- It’s annoying, but I’d rather deal with the questions than risk a delay.
- Honestly, sometimes I wonder if they even read the letters we write...

I had to explain a Venmo from my mom labeled “for snacks”—felt like I was on trial for buying chips. I started keeping a spreadsheet after that. It’s wild how much they want to know, but I guess it beats getting blindsided with more paperwork later.

Definitely relate to that spreadsheet life. When I refinanced last year, they asked for explanations on deposits from literally months ago—stuff like a $25 transfer from my cousin for pizza. At first, it felt over the top, but tracking everything saved me so much hassle. It’s a pain upfront, but it really does smooth things out later. You’re not alone in feeling like every dollar is under a microscope... lenders just love their paper trails, I guess.
