It’s wild how many folks think the VA appraisal is a full inspection—it’s really not. The VA just wants to make sure the place meets their minimum property requirements, but that doesn’t mean they’ll catch stuff like a busted dishwasher or a leaky roof. I’ve seen buyers skip the inspection to save a few hundred bucks and end up with way bigger bills down the line. Even if you’re pinching pennies, that inspection can save you from some nasty surprises... trust me, I learned that one the hard way too.
