Been thinking lately about retirement and finances, and I'm kinda stuck between two ideas. One is going for a reverse mortgage to tap into the equity we've built up over the years, and the other is just downsizing to a smaller place to free up some cash. Downsizing sounds simpler, but honestly, the thought of packing up decades of stuff gives me anxiety, lol. Reverse mortgage seems easier but feels a bit risky somehow...anyone have experience or thoughts on this?
