Totally get where you’re coming from—those “processing” fees can be sneaky. I’ve seen lenders tack on a “digital access” fee, which just made me laugh since everything’s online anyway. It’s wild how much you can save just by asking questions and not letting stuff slide. Persistence really does pay off, even if it feels a bit awkward sometimes. Honestly, I think the more we push back, the less they try these tricks in the future... or at least that’s the hope.

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve had lenders back down on random “document” fees just because I questioned them. It’s weird how often they’ll just remove a charge if you push a little. Definitely worth the awkwardness.
