And yeah, threatening to leave does seem to magically unlock “hidden” discounts... but I wonder if that’s just part of the game.

Honestly, I’ve always wondered about that too. Is it just a bluff on their end, or do they actually have those discounts tucked away until you push? I get paranoid I’m missing out by not playing hardball every year. Also, I totally agree about calling agents—those online quotes never match what I end up getting after a real convo. Anyone else feel like bundling sometimes just gives you more hoops to jump through?

—I’ve seen this play out more times than I can count. In my experience, they really do keep a few tricks up their sleeve for folks who threaten to walk. It’s annoying, but I guess that’s just how the game works.

Bundling’s supposed to be simple, but half the time I end up with more paperwork and random add-ons I never asked for. Still, it sometimes pays off if you’re persistent and don’t mind a little back-and-forth. I’d say don’t stress too much about missing out—just give them a nudge every now and then, and don’t be afraid to ask direct questions about what else they can do.
