Honestly, I get where you're coming from—people tend to overthink every little purchase during the mortgage process. It’s not totally unfounded, but lenders are mostly looking for big, out-of-the-ordinary transactions or sudden changes in your account balance. Buying concert tickets with your debit card isn’t going to set off any alarms unless it’s a massive amount or paired with other unusual activity.

That said, being cautious isn’t a bad thing. I’ve seen folks get tripped up by things like random cash deposits or moving money between accounts without a clear paper trail. Those are the things that usually slow things down, not everyday spending. If you’re ever unsure, just keep records or screenshots—makes explanations way easier if anyone asks. But yeah, you don’t have to stress about every coffee run or event ticket. The underwriters are looking for patterns, not nitpicking every swipe.
