Some are decent and you get confirmation emails, which is reassuring. Others... yeah, it’s like sending docs into the void and hoping for the best.

That “void” feeling is all too familiar. I’ve had to resend documents more than once because there was no proof anyone even looked at them. I’m with you—tracking who’s actually viewed or downloaded files would save a lot of headaches. Until then, I just keep screenshots and email receipts as backup. Not ideal, but better than nothing.

Honestly, I get where you’re coming from—there’s nothing more frustrating than radio silence after sending in important docs. But I’ve actually had a bit of luck just picking up the phone and calling the servicer directly, even if it means sitting on hold for half an hour. Sometimes the old-school approach works better than waiting for a digital breadcrumb trail.

I know it’s not ideal (and definitely not efficient), but when I’ve needed to get something moving, a quick call to confirm receipt has saved me from resending things over and over. Not saying it’s perfect, but sometimes those confirmation emails don’t show up even when they have your stuff.

It’s wild how inconsistent these systems are—one company will send you three updates for every step, another acts like your documents fell into a black hole. Maybe I’m just stubborn, but I’d rather bug them directly than trust their tech to keep me in the loop.

Funny you mention that—when I was buying my place, I actually had to fax something because their portal kept glitching. Felt like I’d time-traveled. Did you ever have to escalate things, or did a phone call usually do the trick?

Honestly, I’ve found a direct phone call usually gets things moving faster—assuming you can get a real person. Email chains just seem to vanish into the void sometimes. I did have to escalate once, but only after getting the classic “we’re looking into it” for weeks. Faxing though... that’s a throwback. I keep a folder of every confirmation number now, just in case. Paranoid? Maybe, but better safe than sorry when your credit’s on the line.

I totally get that. I still have a stack of old fax confirmations from when I disputed a late payment that wasn’t even mine. Took three months, and if I hadn’t had those numbers, I’m pretty sure they’d have claimed they never got my docs. There’s something about having physical proof—it just feels more solid than an email you can’t prove was read.

I’ve noticed calling does work faster, but sometimes it depends who you get on the line. Once, I had a rep who actually called me back with an update (shocking, right?), but another time I got bounced around for hours with no resolution. Ever tried certified mail? That’s my new backup plan after being ghosted by email support one too many times.

Curious—has anyone actually had luck with social media support teams? I keep hearing stories about people tweeting at companies and suddenly getting results, but it feels a little weird putting my business out there like that.
