Haha, seriously... I think I've had paperwork vanish into that same dimension at least once. Honestly though, smaller banks aren't always a guaranteed fix—had one small lender drag their feet forever because someone went on vacation and nobody else knew how to handle the file. Donuts and coffee might help ease the pain temporarily, but keeping backups of everything is probably safer in the long run.
