Lenders really do want to know where every dollar comes from.
Tell me about it. When we refinanced last year, my mom tried to help with a small “gift” and it turned into this whole ordeal. Had to track down her bank statements, write a letter, the works. It honestly felt a bit over the top, but I get why they do it... still, it’s a pain.
