Yikes, sounds like me every time I try DIY plumbing—cheap at first, expensive later. 😅 Seriously though, foreclosure stuff is no joke. When my sister went through it, she initially tried the self-help route too and got buried in paperwork and stress. Eventually she hired a lawyer who knew the ropes, and it made a huge difference. Maybe shop around a bit? Some attorneys offer free consultations or payment plans...could ease the budget pain a little.
