Last year, my cousin went through a pretty rough foreclosure situation and honestly, it was a mess. He tried handling it himself at first, thinking he could save money, but ended up making things worse. Eventually he got a lawyer who specialized in foreclosures and things finally started to clear up. Now I'm kinda facing something similar myself and feeling overwhelmed... has anyone here dealt with foreclosure issues before? Did you hire a lawyer or try to handle it yourself?

Yikes, sounds like me every time I try DIY plumbing - cheap at first, expensive later. 😅 Seriously though, foreclosure stuff is no joke. When my sister went through it, she initially tried the self-help route too and got buried in paperwork and stress. Eventually she hired a lawyer who knew the ropes, and it made a huge difference. Maybe shop around a bit? Some attorneys offer free consultations or payment plans...could ease the budget pain a little.
