Couldn’t agree more about keeping it lean, but I’d add—never trust just digital copies if you’re facing court. Judges still love paper. I’ve seen folks lose ground because they couldn’t produce an original doc when it counted. Learned that the hard way once...

That’s the truth—paper still rules in courtrooms, no matter how digital everything else gets. I once thought a PDF on my phone would cut it for a hearing about a credit dispute tied to my mortgage. Judge just stared at me like I’d brought in a grocery list. Had to scramble to get the hard copy, and it nearly cost me. If you’re fighting for your home, have every doc printed and organized... even if it feels old school.

- Totally get where you’re coming from. I figured courts would be more up to speed with tech, but nope—paper is king.
- I’m prepping for my first hearing soon (long story, but it’s about a title issue), and your story just convinced me to double-check my binder.
- It’s wild how much they still rely on physical copies. I guess it makes sense for record-keeping, but it feels like we’re stuck in the 90s sometimes.
- One thing I’m doing: color-coded tabs for each section—just in case I need to find something fast under pressure.
- Not gonna lie, it’s a pain lugging around all that paper, but if it keeps things smooth in court, worth it.
- Appreciate the heads-up. Better to look over-prepared than scramble at the last minute... even if it means carrying a mini filing cabinet around.
