So I recently closed on my first home (yay me, I guess?), and I've been trying to figure out this whole homeowner thing. Someone recommended using one of those home warranty services, but honestly, it feels kinda pricey and I'm skeptical. Anyone tried one and found it worth it?

I skipped the warranty when I bought my place 7 years ago—figured it was just another upsell. Honestly, I just set aside a small emergency fund instead. Had a furnace issue once, but even after paying out-of-pocket, I've still spent less overall than warranty costs would've added up to.
