Last month, I spent ages scrolling through Google trying to find a decent real estate agent. Ended up on some directory site that looked promising, but half the agents never responded. Has anyone else had better luck finding agents online?

Honestly, directories can be a bit hit-or-miss... kinda like online dating for real estate. Sure, some agents ghost you, but others are just buried under messages or outdated profiles. I've found social media—especially local FB groups or Insta—to be way more reliable. You get a feel for their personality and responsiveness upfront, plus you can casually stalk their recent posts to see if they're actually active. Beats waiting around for directory replies any day.

Social media can indeed give a good initial impression, but I'm not entirely sold on it as the most reliable source. Profiles can be carefully curated to appear active and responsive, but they don't always reflect actual client experiences. Personally, I've found verified reviews on platforms like Zillow or Realtor.com to be more insightful. It's easier to gauge consistency and professionalism from multiple detailed reviews rather than just recent activity or personality impressions.
