Honestly, I thought getting an FHA loan would make things easier, but man... it feels like every time I turn around there's another hurdle or piece of paperwork they forgot to mention. Just when I think I've got everything squared away, boom—another email asking for more documents or clarification on something I swear I've already explained twice. I get that they're trying to be thorough and all, but it's starting to feel like a second job just keeping up with the back-and-forth. And don't even get me started on the appraisal anxiety—waiting around wondering if some random detail is gonna tank the whole deal. Maybe I'm just unlucky or something, but is this typical? Curious if other people had similar headaches dealing with FHA loans or if I'm just having a particularly rough go of it...

Good reminder about the inspection vs appraisal thing. FHA appraisals can feel thorough, but they're really just checking boxes for safety and value. I've had buyers surprised by issues later on because they assumed the appraisal covered everything. It's always worth getting a separate inspection, even if it feels like yet another hoop to jump through. Hang in there—once you're past all this paperwork and waiting, it'll feel worth it.
