Started looking into refinancing my mortgage recently cause, well, rates seemed kinda decent a while back. But now things feel shaky again—like, one day everyone's all optimistic and the next day it's doom and gloom on the news. Honestly, it's making me hesitate on pulling the trigger. Anyone else feeling like investor moods are swinging mortgage rates more than usual lately, or am I just overthinking it?

Yeah, you're definitely onto something here. Mortgage rates have always been sensitive to market sentiment, but lately it feels like they're swinging more dramatically with every headline. Investors are jittery—one day they're bullish, the next they're panicking over inflation or some Fed comment. I've seen this before, but the volatility right now does seem unusually pronounced. Might be worth waiting a bit longer to see if things stabilize... or at least until the news cycle calms down a bit.

Yeah, totally get the hesitation. Reminds me of back in '08 when things were all over the place—I was about to close on a duplex, but got cold feet after watching the news one night. Ended up waiting a few months and snagged something better. But who knows if that's the right move now... Do you think this volatility is temporary, or are we looking at a longer-term shift?

Feels a bit different from '08 to me... back then, it was a full-blown crisis. Right now, seems more like the market's adjusting after a long run of low rates. I'm cautiously optimistic, but keeping some powder dry just in case things get bumpier.
