Had to go through the whole deed in lieu process last year, and honestly, it wasn't as bad as I expected. I mean, yeah, paperwork was a pain and it felt kinda weird just handing over keys after all those years. But the bank was surprisingly cooperative, and it saved me from a drawn-out foreclosure nightmare. Curious if anyone else here has done this and if your experience matched up with mine or was totally different?
