It’s wild how random it can feel. I had a lender once ask about a $200 transfer from my mom—literally just her paying me back for groceries. They wanted a letter and everything. I get the need for checks, but sometimes it feels like they’re just fishing for red flags that aren’t there. The unpredictability is what gets me. You’d think after all these years, they’d have a clearer list of what’s “suspicious.” Makes you double-think every deposit, even the innocent ones...
