I feel your pain... when I refinanced last year, it dragged on way longer than I expected. My lender kept asking for updated docs every few weeks, drove me nuts. But like others said, as long as your paperwork's good, it'll eventually go through. Hang tight!
"My lender kept asking for updated docs every few weeks, drove me nuts."
Yep, that's pretty common, especially lately with lenders tightening up their underwriting. Every little detail gets double-checked. Just keep your paperwork handy—once they're satisfied, it'll move quickly. Hang in there.

Hmm, not always my experience. Had one refi drag on forever even after docs were all set—seemed like underwriting kept finding new "issues." Sometimes you just get unlucky with a picky underwriter...
Yeah, underwriting can be a bit of a wildcard sometimes... I've seen cases where everything looks perfect on paper, but the underwriter keeps circling back with more questions or requests. It can feel endless. Usually, though, once they finally run out of things to nitpick, the process does speed up noticeably. Hang in there—you're definitely not alone in this experience.

I dunno, my experience was actually the opposite. Underwriting seemed quick enough, but once it moved on to final approval and closing scheduling... that's when things really dragged out. Every step has its own hiccups.
