Been stuck in limbo for weeks now waiting on my BRRRR refinance loan to get approved. Feels like the lender's just dragging their feet or something, you know? Wondering if this is typical or if I just picked the slowest bank ever. Anyone else dealing with this headache?

Haha, sounds painfully familiar. Had a client recently whose refinance took so long, he joked about naming his next kid after the loan officer just to speed things up. Honestly, some lenders move at the speed of molasses, especially lately with all the backlog. Doesn't necessarily mean you picked the slowest bank ever...but you're definitely in the running. Hang in there, it'll eventually come through—probably right when you've given up hope and started stress-eating Oreos.

Went through something similar last year—my refinance dragged on for nearly three months. The lender kept requesting updated documents every few weeks, which felt like a never-ending loop. Eventually it did close, but yeah... patience (and Oreos) became essential coping strategies.

Haha, relatable. Honestly, refinances can be a real drag sometimes—I've seen clients stuck in paperwork loops for months. Lenders get picky about updated docs, especially if rates or guidelines shift mid-process. Hang in there though; most of the time it's just tedious bureaucracy rather than a real issue with your application. And hey, Oreos never hurt anyone...

The Oreo coping strategy made me chuckle a bit—definitely relatable. From my experience, refinance timelines can vary significantly depending on the lender's internal processes and how quickly they handle underwriting. I've noticed smaller banks or credit unions sometimes move faster, but even then, delays happen if there's a backlog or guideline changes. It's frustrating, but usually nothing to worry about as long as your paperwork is solid and updated. Hang in there; it'll eventually get sorted out.
