NEWS APPS VS SOCIAL MEDIA: WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR DAILY DOSE?

I've been bouncing back and forth lately between dedicated news apps (like BBC, Reuters, etc.) and just scrolling through social media feeds to catch up on what's happening. News apps feel more reliable, you know, but social media is just so convenient and quick - plus, sometimes you get interesting takes or funny memes mixed in. Curious what everyone else prefers and why...

Honestly, neither news apps nor social media really cut it for me these days. News apps just recycle the same headlines, and social media is too cluttered with noise. Lately I've been subscribing directly to newsletters from journalists or analysts I trust - straightforward insights, no fluff, and delivered right to my inbox. Saves me from endless scrolling and keeps things concise. Sure, memes are fun...but when I want news, I prefer something more focused.
