Been thinking about refinancing my mortgage, but my credit's kinda tanked lately (long story, ugh). Curious if anyone here's managed to refinance successfully with less-than-stellar credit. Quick poll: did you go through a bank, credit union, or online lender?

I'm in a similar boat—first-time homeowner here, and my credit wasn't exactly stellar when I bought. Didn't refinance yet, but I've heard credit unions can be more flexible than big banks, especially if you've got a history with them. Have you checked if your current lender offers any hardship programs or options for refinancing despite credit dips? Might be worth a quick call to see what's possible...

Good call on checking hardship programs—sometimes lenders have options they don't exactly advertise openly. Also, have you taken a peek at FHA streamline refis? They can be pretty forgiving on credit hiccups, speaking from experience...
