thinking about switching up my mortgage - worth the hassle?

Been looking at my mortgage lately and realized I'm paying way more interest than some of the current rates out there. I'm kinda torn between refinancing with my current lender (less paperwork, maybe smoother?) or shopping around for a totally new lender to snag the absolute lowest rate possible. Anyone been through this recently and have thoughts on which route makes more sense?
