Yeah, it’s wild how even with family, the paperwork doesn’t care who you are. I remember thinking, “Hey, it’s just my brother—should be a handshake and done, right?” Nope. Lenders and title companies still want every scrap of paper since kindergarten. The only real shortcut was skipping the awkward price dance, but everything else felt just as tangled. Guess bureaucracy doesn’t do family discounts.
