I get the concern, but I think there’s still a case for a 2-1 buydown if you’ve got some buffer. Not everyone’s banking on rates dropping—some folks just need breathing room upfront, like after a big move or job change. It’s not perfect, but sometimes that cushion is worth it if you plan ahead and aren’t stretching too thin.
