I've tried splitting between mortgage and investments before, and honestly, it felt like treading water. Sure, I got some market gains, but the mortgage balance barely budged. Eventually, I decided to focus more aggressively on debt first, and it was a huge relief seeing that number shrink faster. Not saying your approach can't workβjust didn't do much for my peace of mind. Guess it depends how much that mortgage balance bugs you at night...
Totally get your point. I sometimes wonder if I'm missing out by not investing more aggressively, but seeing that mortgage balance barely move drives me nuts. Maybe it's psychological, but debt shrinking just feels... oddly satisfying? Guess it's all about what keeps you up less at night, huh.
