Say you're buying a house (hypothetically, fingers crossed someday soon for me lol), and you get this inspector who's supposed to check everything out. But um...what if they seem kinda clueless or rush through things? Like, how would you even know they're legit and not just winging it? Curious how people make sure they're getting someone who actually knows what they're doing.

I totally get what you're saying... when I bought my first place, I asked around for recommendations and checked online reviews. Also, asking about their certification upfront helps weed out the sketchy ones pretty quickly.
