I get where you’re coming from—paper trails do have a certain reliability, especially when you’re dealing with something as high-stakes as a home. Still, I’ve seen paper files go missing or get misfiled, too, and that’s a nightmare in its own right.
Out of curiosity, have you ever had to track down a missing document during a court process? Funny you mention that—years ago, I had to dig through a mountain of boxes in my garage looking for a single deed copy after my lawyer’s office misplaced theirs. Took me hours, and I still wasn’t sure it was the “right” version. Paper feels safe until you’re knee-deep in old files and panic sets in. Digital’s got its risks, but at least you can search by keyword... when it works.
