I've been dealing with some mortgage payment errors lately, and the chatbot was fast but kinda frustrating...the human rep was slower but way more understanding. Curious which one you guys prefer dealing with when something goes wrong?
Having dealt with mortgage companies quite a bit, I generally prefer human reps for anything complicated. Chatbots are great for quick, straightforward stuff like checking balances or due dates, but once you're into correcting errors or sorting out payment confusion, there's just no substitute for a real person who can grasp the nuances. I've had similar experiences—chatbots getting stuck in loops or misunderstanding the issue entirely...can be pretty frustrating. Humans might take longer, but they usually get it sorted properly the first time around.
Fair points, but honestly, I've seen chatbots improve a lot lately. Some newer AI ones actually handle basic payment mix-ups pretty smoothly... saves me waiting on hold forever. For big issues though, yeah, humans still win hands down.
