Was chatting with my cousin yesterday—he's house hunting and mentioned something interesting. Apparently, even a small difference in your credit score can seriously change the interest rate you get offered on a mortgage. Like, someone with a 740 might get way better terms than someone at 700, even though both seem pretty decent scores. Hadn't realized how sensitive lenders are to these little differences. Makes me wonder how much money people leave on the table without knowing...
