Couldn’t agree more.
- I rushed in and the PMI was brutal. Ended up paying way more over time than if I’d just waited a few months to bump my score.
- Sometimes you gotta jump, but man, patience really does pay off in this game.

I get the whole “wait for a better score” thing, but honestly, sometimes you just need a roof over your head and can’t wait around for the perfect number. I refinanced a couple years later when my score improved and ditched the PMI. It wasn’t ideal, but it worked out in the end. Sometimes you gotta play the hand you’re dealt, you know?
