Quick reflexes can actually bypass your brain's decision-making

I stumbled across something pretty wild today—apparently, when you react super fast to something (like catching a falling cup or dodging a random frisbee), your body can actually bypass your conscious brain. Basically, the signal from your eyes goes straight to your spinal cord and muscles without waiting for your brain to say "hey, move now." It's called a reflex arc or something like that.

I always thought quick reactions meant you had a sharp mind or whatever, but turns out sometimes your brain isn't even involved at all. Kinda makes sense though, cause if you had to consciously think about every little thing, you'd probably spill coffee on yourself way more often (at least I would).

Anyway, just thought it was cool how our bodies have this built-in shortcut system. Makes me wonder what other weird shortcuts or reflexes we have that we don't even realize are happening...
