Thinking about going for an adjustable-rate mortgage, any tips?

Been checking out adjustable-rate mortgages lately, and I'm kinda on the fence. The lower initial rates look pretty tempting, especially with how high fixed rates are right now. But then again, the whole "adjustable" thing makes me a bit nervous, you know? Has anyone here gone the adjustable route recently? Curious how your experience has been - worth it or did the rate jumps catch you off guard later?

I went adjustable on a property about three years ago. Here's the thing - if you're leaning toward an ARM, you gotta have a clear exit strategy or at least a solid plan B. For me, I knew I'd refinance or sell before the rate reset kicked in, so it made sense. But if you're planning to stay put long-term and don't like uncertainty, fixed might be safer. Just crunch your numbers carefully and factor in worst-case scenarios...rates can jump quicker than you'd think.
